What is permanent jewellery?

Permanent jewellery is a chain custom fitted to you and welded closed, with no clasp. It is fitted to your wrist, ankle, neck, hand or waist, sized to you rather than to a standard length, then the two ends are welded together so there is nothing to fasten and nothing to lose.

Because there is no clasp, it stays on. Shower, sea, gym, sleep, all of it. And if you ever want it off, it takes seconds with a pair of snips.

There are over 220 chains to choose from, in gold filled, rose gold filled, sterling silver and stainless steel. Picking is the part that takes the longest, which is exactly how it should be.

What does an appointment involve?

You sit down and go through the chains until one is obviously yours. It gets fitted to you, loose enough to move and close enough to sit right. Then the weld, which takes a second and which you will not feel. Most people brace for it and then laugh.

Then you look at your wrist for about ten minutes and forget anyone else is in the room.

What did July look like?

July was full days of stacks, hand chains and anklets. It was Charm Bar creations we would never have thought of ourselves, a big restock of chains, connectors and charms people had been waiting on, and hours of in studio personalisation, which is still the favourite part of the day.

It was also ten places in one month, some we had never traded in before and some that already feel like coming home.

Can you book a permanent jewellery party?

Yes. Private bookings cover birthdays, hen parties, baby showers, work events and Saturday afternoons with no occasion at all. We bring the whole setup to you: permanent jewellery welded on the spot, the Charm Bar, the Lip Gloss Bar, the Patch Bar and the Perfume Bar.

August dates are limited and September is open.

Common questions

Does it hurt? No. The weld happens away from the skin and it is over in a second.

Can I take it off? Yes, in seconds with snips, and it can be welded back on afterwards.

Will it set off airport security? No.

Is it only bracelets? No. Anklets, necklaces, hand chains, belly chains, rings and toe rings too.

Can I add charms later? Yes, and most people do.

Can children have it? Yes, with a parent present, and it needs checking as they grow. Message us and we will talk you through it properly.
